The Slipstitch Tweed or "half linen stitch" is comprised of slipped stitches on the right side and purl stitches on the wrong side of the fabric. I could see using this stitch to make light sweaters or cardigans as well as scarves. What I really like about this stitch is 1) it is an easy 4 row repeat that once you've knitted a couple repeats you can do it without thinking and 2) It is really cool looking! I love slipstitch patterns because they are easy and the slipped stitches usually create some really neat looking fabric.

CO an even number of stitches. For my swatch I co 16 sts.
Row 1: *k1, sl 1 wyif; rep from * to end of row
Row 2: Purl all sts
Row 3: *sl 1 wyif, k1; rep from * to end of row
Row 4: Purl all sts
Repeat rows 1-4 until desired length. The below swatch is worked over 4 repeats. I love this and it worked up beautifully in Lion Brand yarns Amazing. I've loved it so much that I've continued knitting this and I'm planning on turning it into either a headband or a bookmark. I'll post the pattern once I finish it.
